I think his beef is not that he was given a wrong (or at best misleading)
answer, it's that Microchip gave the duff info.  It was a simple question
that could have been correctly answered in just one line "BTFSS will skip
only the first instruction in a macro".  If they couldn't get that right,
what chance is there when more complex issues arise?

This surely reflects a basic lack of knowledge of the manufacturers own
development tools by the support staff.
