> I have acquired an LCD (appears to be a 2 line character LCD > from a junked HP multifunction printer Chances are it wasn't made by HP, and it's a 44780-compatible 3rd-party display with an HP house number, possibly Hitachi, OKI or Mitsubishi. The quickest way to figure it out is to trace the connector pins back to the controller chip. Make sure you get the power pins correct and take it from there I had a look at Agilent's database via www.datasheetlocator.com but see no mention of HP LCDs. Ditto with http://www.woe.de.vu/ and http://www.embeddedlinks.com/chipdir/ and those are usually pretty good at ferreting out datasheets -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
