Does anyone know of a program which will help design generic "jellybean" circuits? For example, one that will provide values and schematics for several different types and orders of filters, inverting and noninverting Schmitt triggers and amplifiers, 555 timer circuits, and other similar such common circuits? I found a program called "EM Formulary" from www.esap.com, but their user interface is mediocre at best (specify components, receive characteristics, rather than the other way around). I know of plenty of programs to make filters, or to make 555 circuits, but I've not yet found one for general op-amp circuits, nor for general transistor based circuits, and I'm getting tired of having to lug around reference texts to look up something I only use once in a great while.
