I had forgotten that most SSRs are for AC switching. There are some, though, that handle DC. A quick look through the Newark catalog shows that Crydom makes 2 versions with DC output: one with MOSFET output (up to 500 VDC output max), and one with bipolar transistor output (60 VDC output max). Either of these placed inside a bridge could also switch AC. See page 596 of catalog 120.
