Hi, I'm about to start work on a design for a pair of devices that allow a PS/2 keyboard + Mouse to be extended over a simple RF wireless link ( I guess you are all probably thinking 'why doesn't he just buy a wireless keyboard'! - well our requirements are a bit special, and I cannot find a wireless keyboard that exactly fits the bill, so need to engineer an add on device) Anyhow, back to the main plot, I am envisioning a circuit with say, a PIC 16F628 or similar at the keyboard end, able to take keyboard data and poke it over a cheap RF TX module, with a similarly cheap RX module, and another PIC to decode the received data and reconstruct the keyboard & mouse data streams and clocks, for delivery to the PC. Question is, does anyone know of a pre-existing design, or maybe a chipset that I should look at before I start? Thanks.
