I've uses more than 500 of them with internal oscilator at 8MHz and doing 2400bps comunication without a problem. The bootloader feature is what I like. I can program it in-circuit and have had zero issues. In fact I find it seems to bootloader program slightly better and faster than a 16F87x part. I really like that chip. > > > To PICLIST: > > > > Quality, while unusual in this context, seemed like the word I > wanted :-) > > > > SUMMARY: Has the 16F819 got any problems that would make > > me think about not using it in a moderate > volume > > production application. ? > > > > Comments sought from people who have used > it. > > > > DETAIL: > > > > I'm about to design the next generation of a product.
