It's also something that people who are good with electronics are usually bad at. If you want to do this sort of thing, you ought to do some experiments and carefully monitor the temperature in the enclosure, not forgetting that reduced fan speed gives reduced air flow which might mean that cool air is not reaching everywhere that it was previously.
