Thank you William. The main culprit is: is it really a standard type thyristor? The pin names make me a little scared: K1, A, K2 That make it look like a double diode, but "K2" is a smaller pin and go to= what looks like a trig section on the PCB... so it must be some transistor= cousin... I am used only to Thyristor=3D A, G, C Triac=3D A1, A2, G The fried device is short between K1 and K2, and A to theese measures like a= diode. Yes, it might be an alternistor (like triac but faster), still; can somebody= confirm K1, K2, A is relevant pin names. The whole device is a FANUC DCmotor/tacho servo speed driver A06B-6047-H002. They do not tell the data of the semiconductor, will not supply schematics,= and i have not yet got an answer of when a replacement can arrive. If i can just get data i can probably use a standard device. I have got space and tools to mount other packages if necessary. I am currently dissasembling and drawing schematic. There is in the output stage a H-bridge, a fat NPN, and this thyristor, plus= three power resistors involved. Motor is 140VDC 26A peak. Thank you so far. /Morgan Hej William Bross.
