Nicolas,
I have developed a digital thermometer using the the'675's A/D
converted and an LM34 sensor.  It outputs the temperature on an
LCD using two 74hc164 shift registers to conserve output pins.

This environment is a bit odd so may be hard to simulate.  But
let me know if you want the code.
