I didn't take those pictures, I only wrote the PIC code and did some of
the electrical design.  I'm guessing they got a professional photographer
to take pictures.  He probably composited two exposures, the lit ball in a
totally dark room and an unlit ball with external illumination.  They must
have forgotten to get the arm rotating in the second case.
