I'v found a solution, so, Olin, you can hold on
for the time beeing. I'm going to describe here
what I did, but I'm not asking for an answer or
"solution" right now...

When I changed "DEFRAM gbankadr" to "DEFRAM 0",
my variables moved from the 0x20-0x2F bank into
the 0x30-0x5F bank (.BANK0) and all built OK.

I have not checked the DEFRAM macro in detail, but
there seems to be some code in there to have this
effect !?

Anyway, I'm happy for the time beeing. My project
builds cleanly now and I'll continue development
from this point.
