If your supplier can say that there is at least a certain amount
of paper on a new roll, then do they use an odometer system
too ? Or maybe, assuming that the paper thickness is known
at the time of winding (being under factory conditions where
temperature, humidity etc are controlled), they simply measure
turns or weight
