Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with implementing image compression of
some kind on a PIC or other 8-bit uC? I want to compress greyscale photos
in real time and transmit them over a slow serial link. I think RLE won't
work very well without significantly reducing the bits per pixel first.
JPEG would be ideal, but I think it is too math intensive. I looked at PNG
but had trouble deciding if it's feasible.
Any ideas?
