Without commenting on (or at this stage wanting to spend time to examine the merits of) the technical argument, surely that's not a very polite way to make your point Mike? :-) If someone is genuinely trying to explain an EE point then, even if they don't get it quite right, a gentle pointer in the right direction is liable to be most productive. we all get it wrong technically sometimes. Given how much annoyance even the gentlest of public remonstrance such as this is liable to generate :-), you can imagine how bad it feels when someone starts criticising you and/or your ideas impolitely in public.
