> Hi, As others have mentioned, the wireless networks work surprisingly well. I use my laptop with Network Everywhere gear and set up my brothers house (he does his email out by the pool) with linksys. Both systems are 802.11b. Keep in mind that any speed advantage the 802.11g brings only matters if your Internet gateway can keep up. Most Cable modems are throttled down to 1.5Mb per second. DSl about the same. Since 802.11b has a max of 10Mb per second, and so is not the bottleneck. The g variant, at 55Mb per second, or whatever it's rated will only speed up transfers, etc. on your side of the gateway. If the range is less (as someone posted) with 802.11g, and since it is more costly, if you're most interested in Internet transfers, 802.11b may be all you need.
