in general, its a pulse train, pulses from 0.5 to 1.5ms though the widths vary somewhat.  some are am, some are fm, more complex radios use pcm and send it as error checked data.

certainly. i'm using a 2.5ghz bluetooth transciever chip from zeevo in my printer project.
antenna, power, data in and out.
