Hi all,

what is a common way to improve the contrast of surplus ascii lcd displays
? I have come up with a scheme that runs the display at a slightly higher
voltage than the rest of the circuit. This works, but ... ? (these are
displays that do not admit a negative Vee and work fine excepting for the
contrast which is too low an an angle). I increase the display voltage by
up to 0.8V. This does not interfere with logic levels (5V).
