The only limitation on the demo is that it only runs for 60 days or so..... I think the compiler kicks-a**......I've installed it, and it seems to run for MUCH longer than 60 days though....and when your time does run out, simply re-install. I'd say that having access to a free compiler is one of the reasons I chose the PIC as my development platform a few months ago. ...note to MCHP employees, I DO intend to purchase the full version as soon as I have the cash, I just have not made any money from my PIC projects yet, so I can't justify the outlay right now with the boss (wife). ...I also think that putting this compiler out in the fashion is a HUGE plus for the PIC platform, and will earn MCHP many times more income off chip sales than they would loose from people using the demo ratther than the full paid version. I hope that's their intent and that they don't close the "re-install after 60 days" loophole. I can't recommend it more, no downside, all upside....
