> Perhaps these people are confused by the instructions at > http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/index.htm#quickfaq > which clearly specify to put the ':' inside the ']' The faq allows only ":]". Which is different from how it always used to be until quite recently. A look through past months records will show essentially all posts using "]:" until quite recently. A somewhat dim and foggy part of my memory asserts that at one stage either was OK or that it changed from external to internal or .... . Now both are commonly in use but ":]" seems to predominate. Note that all of James Newton's posts used to use the former (up until 5 August) and now all use the latter (6 August on). This is, presumably, a good indicator of proper usage then and now. An alternative to worrying about how to handle incorrect incoming tags is to accept ALL piclist traffic (as I do) and then work out tagging within your own system (or not :-) ). As a consequence of the above, I have 9673 unread PICList messages in my PICList mailbox after returning from 2 months away :-) Russell McMahon -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
