Odd... I swear I saw this question asked recently, but perhaps it was on=20 another list. ?? Either way, if you have one of those CD-ROM drives with the play/stop/etc= =20 buttons on the front, then just hook up power to it (AT or ATX type), and= the=20 send audio outputs to a set of amplified speakers or similar.You will not= =20 need to interface with the IDE bus ... at least this works with any I've=20 seen/tried in the past.
