> Have you thought about contacting Olimex? They do PCB sub assembly, I didn't know that. I thought they only did PC boards. However, I thought it was mentioned here that they shut down an entire month of the year for vacation! I think that is now, but I'm very worried about a place that wouldn't respond for a whole month if I had a real problem in the future. > and what about Sean in Sydney, I recall him mentioning some time ago > that his factory in China had spare capacity. I sent Sean the files on 15 July right before I left for Masters. I pinged him when I got back on 28 July and received a reply on 29 July. He had some suggestions and about how to redesign to use local components, and wanted to change the product a bit because the original PBK concept started with an offer from him. I thought some of the redesign ideas were reasonable, but also wanted to just get the product out already. I sent a detailed reply on 29 July where I made it clear he should be treating this as a normal for profit job, not as a favor to the PIClist like his PBK offer. I was mostly concerned about time to market so I asked him how much it would cost to build as is, and a few other question. That's the last I heard. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
