Did you change the class *before* autorouting?  Change the drill for that
net
class to say 50mils, then rip-up the board.  Make sure the drill size under
the DRC settings are smaller than 24mils, so you can verify the effects.
Then auto-route again.  Now tell me what size the vias are...
