Hi, my background is that of a programmer, not an e.engineer, although i do have an a-level in electronics :-O . I want to supply an (accurate) 25 Hz clock to my T0CKI pin, but i'm struggling with how to generate the signal. I can't see an RC being good enough- i'm looking for a frequency tolerance of < 0.01 %) The sum total of my electronics knowledge is this:- crystal + oscillator circuit, flip-flops to divide. But there must be a slightly better way of doing it (maybe an IC that can help), because a crystal at say 3.2768 MHz needs diving 17 times, which is a lot of flip flops. I know this is a rather basic question, so forgive me!! Jon -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways. See http://www.piclist.com/#archives for details.
