> My app is 6 cells only. I hope these are not all in series. There are always capacity variations from cell to cell. With six in series you have to be particularly careful about the minimum allowable discharge voltage. This is usually around 800mV to 900mV per NiMH cell before they get damaged. The discharge curve is steep in that region, so one cell could be at 800mV while others are still running along at 1V or higher. I've seen recommendations that say not to put more than 4 cells in series, and then only if done at manufacturing time so they are all from the same lot and have the same history. Even then, the pack minimum discharge voltage is derated significantly from the cell minimum voltage times the number of cells. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
