Hey, Neil, where's your fighting spirit?! Never give up! I think it's doable... you don't actually have to take out the wires to the DP, just slowly work your way through the lens until you hit the die. You probably don't even have to drill through the die, just swirl the workings up a bit and break that little whisker. Use the reflective die base as a stopping point to keep you from getting to deep and breaking any circuitry. - Robert ----- Original Message ----- From: "Picdude" To: Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 8:31 PM Subject: Re: [PICLIST] [EE:] How can I destroy select LED segments? > I'm paranoid about this, cause I don't know where the wires run internally. > > Cheers, > -Neil. > > > > On Friday 22 August 2003 22:14, John Ferrell scribbled: > > How about drilling a tiny hole in the led? > > > > John Ferrell > > 6241 Phillippi Rd > > Julian NC 27283 > > Phone: (336)685-9606 > > johnferrell@earthlink.net > > Dixie Competition Products > > NSRCA 479 AMA 4190 W8CCW > > "My Competition is Not My Enemy" > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Picdude" > > To: > > Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 12:54 PM > > Subject: [EE:] How can I destroy select LED segments? > > > > > > I'll probably get sent off to the looney-bin for this one, but it's worth a > > shot still... > > > > I'm working on a PIC circuit that will send its output to a few 7-seg > > LED's.
