But anyway... What I've done in the past is to get a friend / associate in the US to request the samples then they ship them on to me and I pay them the shipping. Costs me about $10au. Only takes an extra ~7days on top of what it takes Microchip to send the samples to the person in the US. But certainly sounds a lot quicker than requesting them yourself.
