Hmmm ... u mean configure HyperTerm to 9600 baud 8E1, then send command strings in hex, say like 77 00 00 00 00 00 00 41 and see what happens? Works with IR controllers - yet another trick learned from the invaluable PicList :) Using HyperTerm would be simpler, though!
