Debbie, Firstly, apologies again re the RS232 info I passed - yes it was wrong (inverted I think). Hopefully by now you have sorted out what really happens. Secondly, What I was referring to with the Hyperterminal suggestion was driving the camera using raw commands directly from the terminal. This will allow you to determine the correct control sequences without having to worry about the parity, stop & start bits etc. Once the control strings are correctly determined, then you can move to a PIC or whatever to carry on to the next phase. Hyperterminal itself may not be the best for this but there are a number of other similar programs available as freeware which enable you to send raw characters/hex. I use one called "Terminal" but there are pleanty of others around. OK will check that. ;| > Idle is High. > > At least that's what's happening here, today, I think. > > > Can you control the camera directly from hyperterminal or similar?? i have kodak's s/w 4 it - it's a windoze gui. > > Richard P > http://search.yahoo.com.au - Yahoo!
