to the list? You are wasting MIT bandwidth also :-)

A REASON to me:
PICList I a trusted source, izx@xizx.net and similar are not.
I needn't off-list pen-palling, except for admins' posts.

This guy got my address from PICList, so, I think, I have
right to ask him to stop private posts using PICList bandwidth.

Anyway 4k post is not a big deal, I hope, compared to few
50K jpgs of a transistor flashing LED in different variants,
for example. Or compared to reposting the same message in
multiple variants with/without proper tag, with/without tag
at all, with/without colons, with colons inside or outside
brackets, with/without proper brackets, with/without space
between tag and subject text etc.
