>> What's your problem!? > > Hey, no need for personal attacks. Sometimes people need a little wakeup. > The PICLIST is tolerant and non-judgemental. This is of course complete rubbish. Everyone has a tolerance threshold, and after a few interactions will form an opinion of other people. The point was that this guy was going on at length about a supposed compiler bug, and was engaging in a lot of speculation what was wrong, which version was effected, etc. Many people responded with their own suggestions and speculation. All he has to do is look at the assembly output to determine once and for all with certainty what exactly the compiler is doing and whether the compiler is at fault. This was suggested to him more than once times. Now he comes back several days later with more speculation and finger pointing between himself and customer support for the compiler. Yes, in this case, I really don't know what his problem is any why he does just spen 5% of the time he has spent already and get the definitive answer. So, I ask again, why not look at the assembler output? It should be very obvious whether local variables are being re-used globally. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
