I've done some potting. Its a mess. The very best stuff is made by 3M, and its a 2-part black compound. My client used it for making waterproof electrical connections, as do the power company. It carries heat well. But I CAN'T remember the part number. Oh, I remember that Graybar Electric sold it. Its in a funny 2-part clear packet that you mash hard in the middle then mix it up. Potting time is pretty short, about 15 min, hard in 4 hrs.
