Two remarks about this programmer: I see no EEPROM, so am I right that it can not co-exist with any other non-eeprom FT232 USB gadget? From the circuit I think this programmer will not be able to do ICSP? The power for the target is provided via an I/O pin of the F628, and there is no way to force /MCLR low if the target circuit has a pull-up resistor.
