No, but I know how to get a bad conversion rate :-) Typically, electronic goods from the US are converted as dollar to pound for the UK. That goes for the vast majority of items- components and products. For example, I recently bought a handheld GPS receiver. Typical low US price was USD120, lowest UK price UKP120. The suppliers blame import taxes, size of market, longitude, phase of the moon etc etc etc... Oddly though, in the opposite direction, 1EUR usually converts to 1USD, for European goods heading to the USA.
