Actualy, I'm going to check out a surplus
sale next week. They have both bare 2*16 char
displays (LCD, not backlit) and a "module"
with the same 2*16 LCD together with 4 SPST buttons
(like "Menu", "Next", "Clear" and "Enter" or whatever)
and three (2 Y and 1 R) standard LED's. All mounted
on a PCB with a common flatcable connector for LCD,
buttons and LEDs. It could be mounted behind a frontpanel
as a complete "user interface". If the price is "right" I
might try to get some. Interested ?
