For anyone following my EEPROM issues, I finally got it sorted out. I was
attempting to read from the EEPROM too quickly. It seems that a read should
not
be executed until several cycles after the WR bit is cleared by HW. I moved
my
WR bit check to the end of my write routin instead of before the read
routine
and everything's working great. :)

Ken, I like the 18's too, it's just too bad about the 18Fxx20 line :(
