Hi all, I just collected year worth of patches to my picprog Linux PC serial port simple programmer software and put up a new release. I have even tested it with 16c84, 16f676, 12f675 and 16f628, and it includes potentially support for hundreds of other devices too - if users contribute settings. I tried to make the programmer to preserve the OSCCAL and BG calibratio= n in for example 12f675. If you use the programmer with other chips that require preserving words in program memory and bits in config word, pleas= e check and update the table in hexfile.cc, as I had no time to go through all the datasheets to check all chips. If the chip has an id word at configuration memory location 0x2006, and it is listed in hexfile.cc table, the chip is automatically detected. The documentation includes updated pcb and schema for the programmer to make sure 16f628 is programmed correctly, and instructions for adapter fo= r chips with different programming pins, like 12f675 and 16f676. So please check out picproc-1.2 at the address below and email me any changes. Thanks for your support. http://www.iki.fi/hyvatti/pic/picprog.html Please use the above URL when linking to the software, as the redirecte= d address might change eventually.
