If I understand the response correctly regarding the Roman Black eraser (I have not seen it personally), it sounds like it is not enclosed: I love the spirit of DIY, but I cringe when I hear things like this...just be careful...what if a youngster who does not know about the dangers of UV plays with this and damages his or her eyes? Buy a COTS UV eraser -- they have a safety mechanism (not fool-proof) to prevent exposure. Or, go the extra mile to enclose the unit and build a safety mechanism into it.
