The comments it generates are helpful to some degree. What
you obviously don't have with just a hex file are the personalised
definitions, labels and comments, which can often be (or should
be) as meaningful as the code itself. If you've got an orphaned
hex file and are clutching at straws, that JS routine is as good a
straw as any
