Actually the problem with the "comp.arch.embedded.piclist" newsgroup is that it is an illegal newsgroup. It has been created without permission so many news servers will not carry it. However since the piclist is about 2000 strong, it would be a trivial mater for each member to cast a vote in favour of creating a legal piclist newsgroup and so have it approved and carried by most news servers. But regardless of this, it is still possible for an individual to run his own news server and host his own private news group. Several members could actually collaborate and share the load. Anyone wanting to receive news from this service would simply point their news reader at one of the news servers.
