Why change things that don't need to be changed? From what the admins write, my understanding is: MIT is willing to continue hosting the piclist. MIT is requiring a change of software. Current admins are asking for help. Why throw the baby out with the bathwater? Newsgroups, Yahoo, a different server or host - all these ideas are totally off the point of what the admins have told us is happening, and they cost money or take control away or are objectionable to a percentage of users.
