I used a Lassen SQ in a project.  It was about the same price as the
other ones (~$150).  It is very small, about 1.5" x 1.5".  It worked
fine, although the cable for it is highly specialized and hard to find.

I think that all the GPS modules are going to give you about the same
accuracy.
