medium-pressure mercury types, as used for curing with photoinitiators.
Some of these are also used for commercial & institutional sized water
purification. My interest is specifically for curing.

What kind? The high power arc type used for UV curing?
The short-arc type used for commercial PCB exposure?

The fluorescent ones (germicidal, black light etc.) are just the same as
the same wattage/size of regular fluorescent bulbs.
