http://support.microsoft.com/ Click on Contact Microsoft Indicate your country Click on Phone Numbers, Support Options and Pricing Select "Trackball optical" (or explorer if that's your device) from the product list And dial that number. It indicates that you only have 90 days of free support, but they shouldn't charge you if it is a warranted repair. Of course, they'll charge you if all you need to do is clean it. Mine gets stickier and stickier, and I usually pop the ball out (hole on bottom- just push) and remove the little bits of dirt surrounding the little supports. It makes it light and easy again, but it becomes sticky far sooner than I'd like - I usually wash my hands before I do a lot of computer work (saves dirt on the laptop screen from transferring from the keyboard) but it still gets sticky. I've often wondered why they haven't developed either a self cleaning system, or if it's just this particular design. I want to try out a logitech for awhile to see if it is as bad. -Adam Peter Schultz wrote: >Hi All, > >I have a drift most of us love M$. >I just spent more than one hour to try to find how and where >can I return a defective hardware product. >( I have an Optical Trackball and it is sticky like a glue, I cleaned it, but >does not help.
