A couple of times in the past I've had to reverse engineer the protocol some serial devices use by hooking another computer with two serial ports in line to the device in question.  Has anyone here done this with USB?  Are there any tools available that make it easier?
     I don't actually have a use for this info, just trying to satisfy my curiosity.
