I've tried to buy the ICD2 kit directly from microchip and ordered fine. 3~5 days later received it trough DHL, actually saw on the DHL's web page it's status was "custom delay". Anyway, due to regional regulations (silly I must say) I have to pay U$400 to get the kit out of the customs (a U$150 kit) so I decline and ask to send the kit back to mchp. Ok they said, you'll have to pay U$250 as that's how much shipment costs.... Conclusion? Microchip told me to leavet on the customs (they will deal with DHL) and I'll get the kit some other way.... What's the problem being able to supply stock to a country but not samples ? Most other companies I've dealt with can get samples to anywhere. And if I'm looking around for new parts for a prototype I get the hump pretty quickly and basically ignore companies whose products I can't try out. That's actual investigation, not just taking advantage of free samples of a known product -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
