>Low current requirement (~100mA), 3.3vdc and I think I'd prefer TO-220 or >TO-92 packaging (the latter would be fine as I doubt I'd need a heatsink at >that current). I would have thought an LM317 would handle this with ease. I have a spreadsheet which gives the resistor values required. For the recommended 240 ohm resistor from output to adjust terminal then 390 ohms for the adjust to ground resistor should give 3.286 volts, 402 ohms would give 3.338 volts. If you use a 270 ohm instead of a 240 ohm then 442 ohms gives 3.289 volts, or 453 gives 3.339 volts. The e96 values can be achieved using the next higher and then padding down with a parallel resistor. The spreadsheet takes into account the nominal adjust current, but no calculation of resistor or LM317 spreads. Has done me well anyway so far. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways. See http://www.piclist.com/#archives for details.
