> $MS is admitting serious buffer overruns (read as practices>) in its NT4, Win2K, and XP versions. I once read a book by some uSoft bloke about 'good programming practices'. Some of his advices made me shiver (knowing that I and the rest of the world use a lot of uSoft products). For instance, on checking the result of malloc() (for NULL == out of memory) he wrote that this is a good idea in principle, but not always possible in practice. I hope every uSoft programmer affected by such ideas spends his entire life within that company, and never switches to realy dangerous work like embedded programming!
