Does the QuickWriter qualifies as a production programmer or is it for
development only ?

My understanding is that Microchip high end programmer (don't recall its
name) more strict verification of the programming while the PicStart and
most of the programmers mentioned on this list do not.

Also, how long does it take to program an 16F876 (8K) when you program
only a single unit with a new data file (that is, no data caching on the
programmer or similar tricks).
