The unit is connected to a 220V AC outlet, transformed to 15V DC and to = 5V DC with 7805. Transformer is on board #1, 7805 and the complete = circuit is on board #2 and there is about 15cm of space between the = transformer and the 7805 (I don't know if it is significant to note). -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list = [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Olin Lathrop Sent: Monday, July 14, 2003 3:51 PM To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: Re: [PIC]: WDT was C compiler choice ? > So, I guess the only meaningful choice left is to shield the = electronics > somehow to protect it from EMC. I don't think it's as much an issue of shielding as good power supply design and ESD protection, although shielding can help if the frequecies are high. Where is the power for the PIC coming from? ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
