Yep, control most of my bots off the parallel port still when
they are in the beta stages.  I also tend to swipe TX/RX boards
out of cordless phones and use them to communicate with the
bot later thru the port with RF.  Works nicely if you can figure
out the timing issues with the particular unit you have=20
cabbaged onto.

Is anyone still using the PC parallel port for projects these days?

I could be wrong, but it seems they aren't as functional under Windows
as the old DOS ports were, as in fast continuous access.
